    With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of architecture, design, and innovation, Diane Paz has established herself as a defining voice in the world of interior design. From her formative years as a Gold Medal graduate of the Environmental Design program at Ontario College of Art + Design in 2000, Diane’s career trajectory has been marked by a relentless pursuit of design excellence and an ability to blend artful sophistication with practical functionality.

    Early in her career, Diane honed her craft at leading design firms such as Burdifilek, Cecconi Simone, and Yabu Pushelberg, where she contributed to a diverse portfolio of prestigious commercial, hospitality, and multi-residential projects. Diane’s approach has always been one of creative integrity, exploring new dimensions of design while respecting the unique needs of each client. Her international experience—spanning North America, Europe, and Asia—has given her a global perspective on both design aesthetics and the ever-shifting dynamics of modern lifestyles.

    In 2017, Diane founded MAPA Interiors Inc., a commercial interior design studio known for its bold yet thoughtful approach to space-making. Her philosophy at MAPA was built around a commitment to sustainability, innovative use of materials, and the timeless quality of design that adapts with the times. Through MAPA, Diane has worked with some of the world’s most distinguished brands, creating environments that balance luxury with purpose, style with practicality.

    Now, Diane is embarking on a new chapter in her career, co-founding LIIV, a design/build firm focused on residential projects, from custom homes to transformative home renovations and accessory dwelling units (ADUs).

    At the helm of LIIV, Diane applies her unique expertise in both design and construction to create homes that not only reflect the individual needs and lifestyles of her clients but also respond to broader shifts in how we live. Her designs are a reflection of contemporary life, balancing modern aesthetics with an acute understanding of the emotional and practical demands of homeownership.
